Exchange traded funds (ETF) order

Regulation (EU) No 1286/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on key information documents for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) entering into force on January 1st, 2018, and lays down provision of the key information document (KID) to non-professional investors.

As a result of this, it will no longer be possible from the January 1st, 2018 to purchase financial instruments defined in PRIIPs regulation, which do not have a Key Information Document (KID) available. However, it will still be possible to sell previously purchased instruments.

Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are investment funds (or mutual funds) whose shares (or units) are traded on stock exchanges just like company shares. Exchange traded funds have holdings in such assets as equities, bonds or commodities.
