This is a low-risk investing tool that allows you to entrust free funds to the Lithuanian Government.

  • Early redemption possibility if money is necessary earlier *.
  • Costless pay-out in cash for redeemed saving notes at Swedbank branches (in 60 days from notes transfer to account). When withdrawing funds after deadline, or in ATMs, standard service fees are applied.
  • Saving notes are distributed in periods determined in advance. During the distribution period the price of saving notes increases every day, therefore if you acquire them in advance you pay a lower price and earn more interest than acquiring them on the last day of distribution. The precise distribution price depends on the determined interest rate and is indicated in conditions of each saving notes emission.
  • The Government of the Republic of Lithuania is planning other emissions: Other planned saving notes emissions.

* If you need the money earlier, you will be able to sell the saving notes before the deadline. The dates of early saving notes redemption and early redemption request deadlines, in order to use the early redemption date, are indicated in the conditions of every emission. You can submit the request for early redemption in the "Swedbank" Internet Bank or any Swedbank customer service branch.

  1. You must have a securities account in order to purchase government saving notes. Open a sucurities account.
  2. Select the desired current issue of government saving notes and enter the desired quantity.
  3. After familiarizing with the conditions of the emission chosen and checking the data entered, agree with forming the agreement.
